Tiana was tired. Tired of being at the restaurant, tired of working, tired of everyone saying how sorry they were that Naveen had left to go fight. Sympathy was nice in small doses, but it was starting to get on her nerves. She was grateful that her friends were concerned about her, but Tiana could take care of herself. And maybe she just didn’t want to think about it, which was hard to do when everyone kept reminding her of it.
She sighed and walked out of the city, away from the people, eventually finding herself in the bayou. Tiana hadn’t been here since she had been a frog. It certainly was different from a human perspective. Everything seemed less likely to eat you, with the exception of a few alligators, but they were mostly asleep, and easy to steer clear of.
Tiana spotted a man. Someone she had never seen before. Tiana prided herself on knowing everyone in New Orleans, it was good for business, and even though she had come out here to be away from people, it was really just people she knew.
“Hello there!” Tiana called. “Hello!”
