“Rapunzel? She’ll be fine. Don’t you worry about it, sugar. She’s a strong, healthy, young woman. As long as she eats right, and doesn’t laze around, which I doubt she will, I can almost guarantee you’ll be the proud papa of two fine healthy babies.”

Thomas’s grin got wider at the thought.  ”You know,” he said, still thinking about it, “it’s strange when I think back to where I was a year ago, versus now.  I’d just come to Virginia.  I barely even knew John at the time.  And I definitely didn’t know Rapunzel, or that I’d be married and a father soon, or any of it.”

“Time is funny that way, isn’t it?  All the people you meet, and who become a part of your life, sometimes it’s hard to imagine that there was a time when you didn’t know them.”
